Sprinklers

After a long weekend I figured taking the kids out to run in the yard would help them recover from being in the car for so long, so I bought a sprinkler and we headed out to set it up. Taylor was a little unsure because she just didn't understand all she had to do was run through the water. I really think Tyson enjoyed himself more than Taylor did. He stood right next to the water batting at it and laughing. Taylor spent a lot of time spraying him. It was a good purchase, but I think they were just tired from the weekend.

So this is a sprinkler huh? ----------

I guess I should point out he was crying and mad because I took something away from him that he wasn't supposed to have

Taylor on the other hand was pouty because she just didn't understand that all we wanted her to do was run through the water, get wet and have a good time

Indy

This past weekend we traveled to Indianapolis to see my Grandma. Not long ago she broke her humerus bone in her right arm and had to have surgery. She now has a plate from elbow to shoulder along the bone with about 50 screws in it. She's currently rehabbing and so we decided to drop in for a quick visit. The kids did awesome on the drive over and back. We took advantage of the hotel pool 3 times, but I have no pics since I had to be in the water holding Tyson. We ate dinner with family Saturday (18 people total) at one of the places we went many times when we were younger and lived there, MCL. I will post the group pic when I steal my sister's because the guy taking it cut the whole left side off with my camera.

We had a great weekend and look forward to seeing everyone again, but this time I hope it doesn't take a year for us to all get together again. We just don't do it often enough.

Princess Taylor

It's a new "do" to keep her hair from getting stuck under her arms when it is wet and she just wants to play. It has also got to be much cooler in this heat. Daddy said she looked like Princess Leia but she said "NO I'm Princess TAYLOR"

Mostly Stolen

Wednesday was the first day in awhile that we were able to get out of the house without rain or storms. My sister came over and we took the kids to the park after lunch. I didn't get as many pics as her so I stole most of these from her since she got some really cute ones. Hey, I'm allowed to use pics of my own kids-right?
-----------

Taylor doesn't like to stop doing what she's doing for pictures and you can tell by the look on her face.

----------
Tyson being serious. He was the KING of the playground surrounded by a bunch of little princesses.
(Uncle Clint please bring me some boys to get dirty with)

He LOVES to have his picture taken most days and I LOVE his smiles----------

I couldn't resist posting this one because I LOVE the look on his face. He's out of focus but that's what happens when he's coming straight at me for the camera. (also my picture)

Swim Lessons

Today marked a new milestone for us. Taylor had her first ever swimming lesson. She has never been afraid of the water and today was no different. She was acting shy at first, but that isn't uncommon when she is around someone new for the first time, and by the end she was back to having no fear. She was in a group of 5 and she was the only girl. She was also the smallest of the group. It was so cute to watch and she cannot wait to go back again. At home showing off her swimsuit and all ready to go

At the pool waiting for her class to start

Matt took this one on his camera and I stole it because it is cute and shows she wasn't scared to jump in

Taylor's turn ( I think this is where she was dunked under water unsuspectingly)
